ODM Wednesday received nomination forms from 30 parliamentary aspirants seeking to vie in three by-elections.
Two other constituencies have direct candidates.
The nominations will take place in Emuhaya, Embakasi and Ainamoi.
Emuhaya's former MP, Kenneth Marende, became the Speaker of the National Assembly while David Too and Melitus Were of Ainamoi and Embakasi were shot dead.
In Kilgoris and Wajir North, the ODM candidates in last year's General Election will get direct nominations to do battle with other parties' candidates.
In Wajir an ODM and Kanu candidates tied and theirs will be runoff.
Those who returned their papers in Embakasi include former Adopt-A-Light chief executive Esther Passaris, former Nairobi mayor Dick Waweru, Mr Irshad Sumra, Prof Tony Wambua and Mr Were's brother, Julius Were.
The Emuhaya seat attracted over 12 aspirants, including former assistant minister Sheldon Muchilwa.
Ainamoi contestants include Mr Too's brother, Mr Benjamin Lan'gat, who works at the Nyayo Tea Zone.
Party officials who received the nomination papers, Mr Flavian Kubasu and Mr William Okoth, said all the parliamentary aspirants paid Sh100,000 as they returned the nomination forms and an additional Sh20,000 for life membership.
However, women, the disabled and the youth paid Sh75,000 and civic aspirants paid Sh7,500.
ODM nominations will take place before May 24 since the Electoral Commission of Kenya will clear nominated candidates for the by-elections between May 26 and 27.
