ODM-Kenya wants the team set up to investigate last year's General Election to focus on the integrity of the country's electoral process.
Vice-President Mr Kalonzo Musyoka told members of the Justice Kriegler-led committee to critically analyse the entire process and what could have gone wrong leading to the political crisis in the country.
And he pledged the party's support in ensuring that the process succeeds.
The VP spoke at his Jogoo House office in Nairobi moments after holding a brief introductory meeting with the members of the Independent Review Commission who paid him a courtesy call.
He was flanked by ODM-K chairman, Samuel Poghisio and secretary-general Mutula Kilonzo.
Last week, members of the Kriegler-led commission also paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister Raila Odinga where ODM voiced concerns over alleged irregularities in last year's polls.
Although details of what was discussed at the meeting with the ODM-K officials remained scanty, the party announced that it would appoint lawyers to assist it present its submissions to the commission.
The Kriegler committee is expected to assess ECK's efficiency and its capacity to discharge its mandate.
It will also investigate the vote counting and tallying for the entire election and the organisation and structure of the 2007 electoral operations among other key issues.
