Prime Minister Raila Odinga used the just-concluded World Policy Conference in France to reach out to Kenya's international partners to invest in the country.
At the same time he seized the opportunity to explain that the country was back on its feet after the post-election violence earlier in the year.
The conference, the first of its kind, was organised by the French Institute of International Studies. The forum which ended Thursday, was aimed at fostering interactive and constructive dialogue between researchers, professionals and opinion leaders.
Sidelines
Mr Odinga was among the world leaders to attend and address the conference on the problems afflicting Africa and how they can be solved.During the sidelines, the Prime Minister took time off to engage with other leaders.
He met with Prince Turki Al Faisal, chairman of King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic Studies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Prime Minister also held discussions with President Boris Tadic of Serbia.
Later, Mr Odinga addressed journalists of Croatian National Television. He said the US financial crisis was bound to resonate throughout the world. (PMPS)
